What information is exchanged with my ‘Date-Mate’ prior to our arranged date?
Prior to your arranged date, matched daters are only given each other’s first names. After we consult with both daters, a night and venue is arranged with details of the venue, time and day of the meeting and the first name of your ‘Date-Mate’. Personal information such as e-mail, address or phone numbers are never exchanged by us and we urge our daters to use the same prudence.

Is there a background check?
While most of our clients have been to a singles event, networking event or lock and key event with us before, for our new matchmaking clients, we do perform a standard background check. Our primary concern is the safety of our guests. We perform an extensive check as to any history that is of a violent nature, both criminal and civil. Our due diligence combined with our policy of daters meeting Date-Mate’s at a venue arranged by us – we feel creates an atmosphere free of worry and allows our daters to relax and enjoy the moment.

Do you do an employment, credit or financial verification?
First and foremost, our concern is your safety. While we do conduct a background check, it does not include employment, credit, medical or financial history. We don’t find it necessary to prejudge an individual based on earnings. Our clients are as ambitious as they are sophisticated, either atop of, or on the ladder to success. Prejudging a dater today, we feel, does an injustice to their accomplishments tomorrow.

What type of people can I expect to meet?
We tend to draw a crowd that is intelligent and amusing, sophisticated and adventurous, while always being cheeky. The fact you’re reading about us, likely means they’re just like you. Daters that don’t like to settle and tend to set the trend rather than follow it. We are in part defined by our venues and our crowd reflects such.

How can you charge so much less than the competition?
We don't have to spend money recruiting daters. We are sought after for who we are and the level of dater we attract, affording us the luxury of daters finding us, rather than the expense of having to find daters.

What happens if I do not notify you of a cancellation?
If you do not show up for a scheduled, confirmed date without any notification, you will forfeit the remainder of your date-mate package.  We have a zero tolerance policy for no-shows.  We will work with you on rescheduling your date and understand sometimes things happen that are beyond our control and we ask that daters be considerate of each other’s schedule changes.

How do I attend a televised event?
Always a lovely bit of fun! We are quite chuffed to attract such attention and are over the moon that our daters are seen as such trendsetting singles. While all matchmaking packages may include offers for our special events, our top tier package daters are given first priority.

May I bring a friend?
Let’s Double Date! While you can’t bring a friend with you on a Date Night, we do allow friends to ‘Double Date’. You and your friend can select your own matchmaking package, let us do the details, match you both up with your perfect ‘Date Mates’ and send you, your friend and new Date-Mate’s off for a fabulous night on the town.

How do I let you know my preferences?
After you select your matchmaking package, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with details and questions to help us find your Date Mate. Tell us as much as you like! The more you offer, the better we can match. Our staff, led by Anoush, will review your preferences and get to work finding your match, making arrangements and sending you off on your date night.

Can my matchmaking package be cancelled?
We do reserve the right to cancel any matchmaking package, for any reason, at any time. We will immediately refund the remaining portion, of an unused package, upon cancellation.

Do I have to go to a venue or restaurant chosen by SpeedLA?
Of course not! You are free to choose any restaurant, venue or event you wish for your Date Night. Simply let us know what you have arranged so we may pass the reservation details onto your Date-Mate. We offer our Concierge Services, which can include anything from advice on where to go, to discounts, to access to our fabulous venues -even reservations; As much or as little as you wish.

How soon after I register will I have my first Date Night?
Immediately after your purchase we confirm your package and begin the process of establishing your preferences, setting out your goals and finding that perfect Date Mate. We do require a 48 hour grace period upon registering, whilst we gather your information and enjoy getting to know you. After this time, we will begin the search for your first Date-Mate and we assure you the option of a date within ten days of finalizing your details.

Am I obligated to use my Date Nights over a certain period of time?
You may use your Date Nights at your leisure.

What is the age range?
Our Matchmaking age range is similar to that of our events; our daters tend to be between early twenties to early forties.

What cities does your Matchmaking cover?
Our daters are primarily from Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego.

What is ‘This, that and the other’?
Consider it our Concierge Service.  Let us know what you need – everything from fashion tips to relationship advice, to being well-groomed!  We have all the perks! Let us make your personal appointments or dinner reservations at the venue of your choice or ours - whilst you enjoy the discounts and lovely treatment!

What is the Complimentary Make-Over in the ‘Date Me’ & ‘Indulge Me’ package?
SpeedLA Dating & Matchmaking has the pleasure of working with some of LA’s loveliest and most talented cosmetologists. Prior to one of your Date Night’s how lovely would it be to indulge in a makeover before embarking on your blind date? Book your appointment with us at least 48 hours prior to your requested date and we will make the arrangements for your appointment at your home or office.

Tell me more about the Stylist in the ‘Indulge Me’ package?
Sometimes it’s hard to find your style in a town so full of it! We all need a little help sometimes and what could be more fun than spending the afternoon with two of our fabulous stylists, lending you their expert advice and helping you decide what suits you best.  Book your appointment with us at least 48 hours in advance of your requested styling date.
